IBIZA
For the past three summers Nick and I have made Ibiza our holiday destination of choice for an exciting, reinvigorating and memorable holiday in the sun!
For the uninitiated, Ibiza is a small but beautiful island, as legendary for its wonderful Mediterranean sunsets as it is for its cosmopolitan nightlife, featuring some of the world's best and most famous clubs.
Its image was wrongfully tarnished by a certain TV series in the late 1990's, depicting it as an island of drunken, drug-fuelled debauchery. Admittedly, for many this is still essential to enjoying Ibiza, but there is another, upmarket and glamorous side to the island which for me has shaped my impression of the place. This is an island where anything goes, from wearing outrageous outfits you wouldn't dare to put on back home to walking naked on the beach with a cocktail in hand!
There is a simple beauty to this pine-covered, hilly landscape and just a few miles from the towns you can find peaceful villages which haven't changed for decades. It is this variety which makes it ideal for a lively, adventurous break away and I'm sure I'll return there for many years to come.
